The last hurrah in my home away from home and before we know it it will be twenty-fifteen

As per university traditions go, celebrating every single excuse of a holiday for at least a week, at least a week in advance (in this case a month) is something that will hit me faster than I will realize once "real life" begins.

This time, the start of finals also means the end of November- one step closer to Santa & his elves; just take a look at her expression of sheer excitement:

These photos are about a month and a half old, but it really feels like there shouldn't be snow on the ground yet, so I think these photos are a good representation of how the weather should be right now.

But actually, I love snow!!! sans ice. and I cannot wait till winter and christmas and having two months off before I move to another continent for four months!

One month ago:
I could still use teenager as a valid excuse
and the concept of real life was foreign to me (but it still is)

I don't look, act, or feel twenty (in my opinion) but I expect my 20s to be the best and worst times of my life, kind of how being 19 was, except amplified

...I realize this blog is becoming more like a personal blog as opposed to a style blog... I need less quarter life revelations and more inspiration

This adorable girl walked around campus on homecoming day selling these bows she made with her mom from a shoebox. The sheer effort of her cute (and entrepreneurial) diy was enough to make me want one!


...also celebrating homecoming makes me so excited to call myself alumni in just one and a half years!

Lesson learned that night: Buy tickets in advance

No matter how lazy you are, or what anyone says- just do it. Nothing bad ever came out of preparedness, anyway.

Summer: Ktown withdrawal; that awful transitioning period where you're just getting used to being around your parents again and actually having to figure out what you might want to do with your life.
Cause summers are important for that.





Summer: am I really halfway done my undergrad already? I'm nineteen and I feel old, but what am I going to do with myself once I turn 30? mmhm nah, it'll never happen to me...

But really, these leggings are one of the best investments I've made since I bought them. And I'm sure everyone has oversized button-up shirts lying all around their house- I found this in my parent's closet (yay for not spending the big $$) & when I wear it I always feel all artsy and whatnot. Dissatisfied with your button-up shirts? Knot them.

On an exciting note, I'm going to Beijing next winter for exchange!!!!

First outfit of the day post: January 12, 2013

I have to say, last night was pretty eventful. Eventful to say the least! There's a reason why everyone tells you to live away from home during your university years...

But to the point: I am wearing a black velvet (I know you can't tell from the photo but it really is!) dress (meant to be a shirt but I personally think this looks better) from one of my favourite Canadian retailers, Joe Fresh. It was a crazy steal, which makes me love it even more. And the rest is history.
